Kieran is the practice leader of Ovum’s financial services technology team, which focuses on the challenges facing the payments, insurance, retail and corporate banking sectors.
His own subject specialism is payments and, in his career to date, he has published and led research across many of the issues driving change in this industry. In January 2015 he launched Ovum’s Payments practice, bringing together analyst expertise from across the firm’s Financial Services and Telecoms & Media groups. In his career, he has also designed and delivered a number of large-scale strategic consulting projects in for both banks and IT vendors in the payments industry.
Prior to joining Ovum, Kieran spent 10 years at Datamonitor Financial. As Content Director, he was responsible for both the Consumer Payments and Private Wealth Management research areas, as well as overseeing a central research unit and the Asia Pacific analyst team. In addition to having responsibility for the direction and quality of all analytical output, Kieran was also tasked with helping to form the wider commercial strategy for the business.
