Paul Lucraft    -  Payments card industry expert (Paul Lucraft Associates Limited)

Paul Lucraft was the General Manager for the UK and Ireland for MasterCard until April 2006.

Paul now works as an independent business advisor. He has specialist knowledge and experience in UK retail banking based on over 20 years experience across a range of functions including: finance, fraud prevention and risk management and payment cards as well as general management.

After graduating with a degree in Economics from Queen Mary College London University, Paul trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche) in London.

 Paul worked for TSB and Lloyds TSB from 1985 to 1996. His roles included Head of Finance for the Cards business and Head of Strategy for Fraud Prevention Collections and Recoveries. He was responsible for managing the Bank's personal debt provisions.

In 1997 he joined MasterCard in the UK and Ireland with responsibility for Fraud and Risk prevention and rose to head the UK and Ireland office.
